"I recently visited Van Leewen on Front St. (South St.Seaport area) on a hot Sunday afternoon. There are plenty of upscale ice cream shops in the City, but I’m a big fan of the Van Leewan chain because of the creative combination of flavors that they always have. This time around I got the Marionberry Cheesecake. Marionberry is a kind of blackberry, but sweeter and so good when mixed with the ice cream and crumbled graham crackers. So delicious! I can definitely recommend the Marionberry Cheesecake without reservations. I had it in a cup, but it’s even better with a waffle cone. The staff at this shop is particularly nice and very friendly. Every time I’ve gone in there I’m always greeted with a nice smile. Inside is kept very clean and there is ample space to sit and enjoy your ice cream. Overall, definitely a great choice for a little treat."

"This was my second time trying Van Leeuwen. The first time was just okay, but this visit definitely changed my mind! I ordered the Brown Sugar Cookie Dough Brownie and it was really delicious. The only downside for me is the chunk ratio. I’ve been a big Ben & Jerry’s fan for years, where you get a massive mix-in in almost every single bite. Van Leeuwen is a bit more subtle. It’s great ice cream, but it would easily be a 5-star experience if it just had a few more chunks of brownie and cookie dough mixed throughout!"
